# Change Account Preferences: Disconnect Notifications
Disconnect Slack and Discord notifications to stop receiving alerts for your Safe account.
You can discontinue receiving notifications from Slack and Discord (one or both) for an account by following the steps outlined below.

## Step 1: Access Accounts via Notifications
Navigate to **Notifications -> Accounts** under the **Settings** section. Here, you will see the list of all accounts along with the notification channels set for each.
Click on the **Manage** button next to the account for which you wish to discontinue notifications.
## Step 2: Select the channel to discontinue notifications
A window will appear displaying a disconnect button for the set notification channel.
Click on the **Disconnect** button next to the channel you'd like to stop receiving notifications from and confirm the process.
## Step 3: Verify Disconnection
Return to **Settings -> Notifications-> Accounts** to ensure the connection with the desired account has been severed.
