⚒️Connect Slack for an Org

Guidelines for setting up and disconnecting a Slack channel at an Organisational level.

Follow the steps outlined below to either set up or disconnect a Slack channel for your organisation within Coinshift.

Set up a Slack channel

Step 1: Access Slack via Notifications

Click on the Connect button next to the Slack app listed under the Notifications -> Organisation under the Settings section.

Step 2: Grant access to a workspace

You will be redirected to Slack, where you'll need to grant access to your Slack workspace.

Step 3: Select a channel & authorise connection

Choose the Slack channel where you want to receive notifications.

We recommend you have a dedicated channel for notifications for optimal organisation and clarity. Please set this up in Slack accordingly.

Authorise Coinshift to send messages to the selected Slack channel.

Step 4: Verify Setup

Navigate to Settings -> Notifications tab to confirm the successful setup.

Congratulations on completing the setup!

Now that you've successfully integrated Slack with your organisation, you can begin receiving org-level notifications on the specified Slack channel.

Disconnect Slack channel for an organisation

You can disconnect your Slack channel anytime if you prefer not to receive organisation-level notifications.

To do so, navigate to the Notifications -> Organisation under the Settings section, and click on the Disconnect button associated with the Slack channel.

After this, the channel will be disconnected and you'll stop receiving notifications.

Note that you can reconnect your Slack channel if you decide to enable the notifications again in the future.
